ING Životní pojišťovna markets a unique solution for senior citizens’ expenses
ING Životní pojišťovna markets a unique solution for senior citizens’ expenses

24th April 2012 - According to a study conducted by ING Životní pojišťovna, Czechs older than 55 years have a much lower standard of living than people who are of an economically active age. At the same time, senior citizens have much greater requirements, for example, those for medical care and medicines, and in addition may become completely dependent on their environment when they grow older. ING Životní pojišťovna has brought a solution to this difficult situation; in late April, it launched the new ING Smart Senior life assurance policy. The policy offers a completely unique supplementary insurance covering the inability of self-care and special assistance services. Marcela Pekárková, ING Životní pojišťovna Product Manager, and Dušan Quis, ING ČR Sales General Manager, presented the new product and results of the study to journalists. The event, held in Prague in mid-April, was arranged by Native PR.

Plzeňský Prazdroj innovates, launching Gambrinus Original 10° and refreshing mix

17th April 2012 - Plzeňský Prazdroj has launched draught Gambrinus with a fuller flavour under the name Gambrinus Original 10°. At the same time, it has introduced two new low-alcohol mixed beer drinks, Gambrinus řízný citron (Gambrinus Tangy Lemon) and Gambrinus limetka a bezinka (Gambrinus Lime and Elder Berry). In doing so, the brand has responded to the growing demand for variety among Czech consumers, and the changing preferences of Czech beer drinkers.

Gambrinus has been the standard bearer for the typical flavour of Czech beer for many years. The brand also listens carefully to what millions of its consumers want. Gambrinus Original 10° fully maintains the popular character of Pilsen-made beer, whilst offering an even fuller taste. “We currently see a preference for a fuller beer flavour among beer drinkers. This is why we decided to enhance the palate of their favourite draught Gambrinus with a higher dosage of malt and hops,” says Adriana Jahňáková, Marketing Manager, Plzeňský Prazdroj, and adds: “The name Original 10° indicates that this is a beer of Pilsen origin, brewed to the original recipes and using high quality Czech ingredients, as the case was with Gambrinus Světlý.” The Gambrinus Original 10° has been available on draught and in all popular packages since May.

In addition, the Gambrinus řízný citron (Gambrinus Tangy Lemon) and Gambrinus limetka a bezinka (Gambrinus Lime and Elder Berry) have been available at shops in half-litre cans since the beginning of April. These are mixed beer beverages with lower alcohol content. They are made by mixing draught Gambrinus with natural fruit juice. “The number of people who want to try new things and various flavours is steadily increasing. This is why we decided to introduce mixed beer drinks and address all consumers who seek pleasant refreshment, above all,” says Adriana Jahňáková. Starting in May, tin cans will be joined by half-litre returnable bottles, which are intended primarily for bars, restaurants and pubs. Native PR is in charge of communicating Gambrinus brand news.

Czech Insurers Bureau successfully combats motor third-party liability insurance dodgers
Czech Insurers Bureau successfully combats motor third-party liability insurance

10th April 2012 - As has become a tradition, the Czech Insurers Bureau in co-operation with Native PR organised a press conference on the topic of combating those who do not take out their motor third-party liability insurance in March. Held at Prague’s Yasmin Hotel, the conference introduced the media to the current statistics on uninsured vehicles and the trend in recent years, motorists’ mistakes and misconceptions about motor third-party liability insurance, and the practical impact of combating insurance dodgers. The statistics show that, after three years of pursuit, this initiative is yielding results. The number of uninsured vehicles as well as the number of claims caused by uninsured vehicles has decreased dramatically since 2009. Attendees to the press conference included major Czech media, Czech TV and the Czech News Agency among them. Speakers included the representatives of the Czech Insurers Bureau and the event was hosted by Václav Pavelka, Native PR’s Public Relations Consultant and Agency Owner.
