How to communicate the dismissal of employees en masse and the termination of production

Increasing interest in projects aimed at communication regarding the dismissal of employees en masse and the closing down of production plants can recently be seen on the parts of both Czech and international companies. The employees of the Native PR agency worked almost 500 man-hours on similar projects during the first half of 2009.

The preparation of a project is similar for most clients, and it is based on procedures that have been tried and verified by the agency many times. The individual projects mostly differ only in increased emphasis on selected areas, in particular in relation to the industry, region, and market position of a client.

We usually create a proposal for a procedure and a detailed communication plan for the entire projects for our clients. We also prepare all the necessary materials determined for the provision of information to employees, the media, business partners, state administration, and other stakeholders who should be informed of the situation. The projects very often also include the training and preparation of the management for their appearance in front of the employees, which is generally very mentally demanding. If needs be, we coordinate the work of the entire project team and also ensure the operation of a press department.
